This news excites me. It excites me not only because I think it’s great for the world to see a black man as President of the United States of America, but also because young black boys are getting access to more stories of successful black men if they are getting more mentoring. Good news for sure. I care far less about whether or not people agree with Obama’s politics, and far more about helping young black boys with few role models learn how to dream big. Achievement begets achievement. Let’s make sure they continue to see and hear the stories.
